(and absolutely awesome)Richard Petty 200th win tribute 1984 Pontiac Gran Prix.

Kinja'd!!!

Spent some time at the Petty's Garage Car Show in Randleman, NC yesterday and this was, without a doubt, the coolest car there.

Kinja'd!!!

That right there^ is the car that it's paying homage to. Richard Petty's 1984 Pontiac that brought home his 200th win and solidified his name in the history books as the winningest driver in Nascar history.

Owners Thomas & Michelle Blackstone sent their 1984 Gran Prix off to Fabricator Barry Owen, who worked to build the original car that scored Petty's 200th and final victory, and he recreated it as closely as possible(Keeping the street-legal goal in mind of course.)

Kinja'd!!!

The build was started on July 15th , 2013 and completed in 11 months making it's first appearance back on the street in June, 2014. While conversing with the owner he pointed out many things that kept the "Race Car" Streetable such as these STP Logo Taillights that he fabbed from a set that had an original home in the rear bumper of an RV.

Kinja'd!!!

Ohh and License plate and light? No Problem. He's got that covered too!

Kinja'd!!!

It's sitting on a chassis built to the 1984 Nascar specs and also sports a NASCAR engine between the tubular front clip.

Kinja'd!!!

And see those treaded Goodyears? They're sitting on NASCAR Spec Wheels giving it the same presence on the street that Ronald Regan saw from the window of Air Force One at Talladega 30 years ago.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This man is living a dream that I'm sure any NASCAR or Petty nut has imagined at some point in their lives and has done everything right with this car. Standing around it will almost put you in the shoes of those spectators that watched that final victory unfold and I'm sure Thomas feels like "The King" of the road when he whips it around town!

Kinja'd!!!

It's probably something like that^
